This toolkit is created to help you, teaching and supervisory staff (educators) at Karolinska Institutet (KI), to teach through the trans-formative vision of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. On this page you will find an overview of the toolkit and how to use it.
Aims
This Toolkit is expected to help KI educators with teaching through 2030 Agenda lens via providing them with:
- pedagogical knowledge, recommendations and promising practices on teaching and learning based on trans-formative vision of 2030 Agenda for SDGs
- overview of the framework of 2030 Agenda for SDGs and teaching materials related to the 17 SDGs to help you integrating SDGs in your context.
Objectives
This toolkit will help educators to
- obtain understanding on why integrating SDGs in your teaching is important;
- understand the overlap between SDG4.7, education for sustainable development, Education for global citizenship, internationalisation, the 8 principles of 2030 Agenda and it relevance to your teaching practices
- be aware of the knowledge, values, skills and competencies of sustainable development that are necessary for your students to develop in order to be SDGs implementer;
- get recommendations and inspiration on how to integrate SDGs in your teaching context;
- be familiar with the SDGs framework;
- use ready made teaching and learning materials in your courses in Canvas.
Target audience
Teaching and supervisory staff at KI; in this toolkit they will be referred to as educators.
