About the toolkit:
By the end of this training, participants should leave with enhanced awareness, gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in various settings. They will become familiar with key concepts, such as equity, equal opportunities, and bias. Participants will acquire practical applications, learning how to apply DEI principles in different contexts, including educational environments, workplace settings, and community interactions. They will also gain actionable strategies, equipping them with tools and methods to promote equal opportunities and mitigate biases in assessments and decision-making processes. Ultimately, participants will leave with a strengthened commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment within their institutions and beyond.
Purpose of this course:
The objectives of this toolkit are to empower partner universities by ensuring they have access to ongoing DEI training and resources, promote equal opportunities by providing information and strategies on how to foster equal opportunities in various settings, and offer training to recognize and mitigate biases in assessments. This toolkit is designed to support the continuous development and implementation of DEI practices across partner institutions.
